About Us As a Texas based chapter of the International Game Developers’ Association (IGDA®), we here at GameDev Houston are focused on delivering resources and community to game developers across the city.
Our Focus IGDA Houston aims to provide value with some of the following: GAME JAMS 48 hour hackathons focused on game dev. The weekend stirs a global creative buzz in games, while at the same time exploring the process of development, be it programming, iterative design, narrative exploration or artistic expression. WORKSHOPS, PANELS, & TALKS Learn and grow with others! We hold monthly events that are focused on bringing in industry professionals to share their knowledge for the community. There are always a wide variety of topics covered. MIXERS We have a monthly mixer on the last Tuesday of every month. Come join us and socialize with other local developers!
